Ultraviolet light as well as some forms of fluorescent light can be harmful to wine. Horse Ridge Cellars is completely underground thus eliminating all natural light.

The facility is designed with numerous independent electrical outlets, allowing visitors to illuminate only small portions of the storage area at any given time. When not occupied, the facility is kept in total darkness.
