The most
important aspect of wine storage is temperature. Most experts
agree, a range between 50 and 60 degrees is acceptable for long-term
storage, with 55 degrees being the closest thing to a gold standard.
At lower temperatures wine develops too slowly,
while at higher temperatures wine tends to age at an accelerated
and undesirable rate. Horse Ridge Cellars' heating and cooling
equipment is designed with control systems to protect wine against
sudden fluctuations in temperature. The equipment maintains a
temperature of 55 degrees Fahrenheit. |
